This project was part of the complete renovation of a Georgian property. The original garden was accessed via a narrow steep stairway to a traditional lawn surrounded by shrubs. The couple loved to sit in the sun and entertain and wanted the design to incorporate Mediterranean elements to remind them of Portugal where they spend a lot of time. The garden was redesigned on three levels. It leads you through three seating areas to catch the sun at different times of the day. The planting is more formal and lush closer to the house and becomes progressively softer by the time you arrive at the upper garden with the Olive surrounded by grasses.
